Shanghai's answer to the fab four - complete with screaming teenage girls - were back in action at Yuyintang last night.
The boys from Sonnet kicked-off proceedings with a stand-out track from their new LP 'Spring', '了了上海伐老乱哪能立得牢脚'. This was followed by another couple of great tracks, 'Promise' and 'Perfect Son'. These guys have a loyal fan-base, and unsurprisingly the best crowd reaction came for familiar numbers from their 'S-File' EP (re-recorded for this new CD), such as 'Stupid Baby', 'Rejection' and 'A Nice Song' (see video!).
A great time was had by all, and I for one can't wait to see Sonnet at Strawberry Festival and at various universities across Shanghai this Summer and Autumn - it's gonna cost em a lot of t-shirts if they keep being stripped after each show!
We had a word with Andy, the drummer about a few things - check it out here
