Don't be a cynical bastard, there are plenty of new things under the sun. It's part of the human condition: we want to accomplish the biggest, best, fastest, first. We stretch potential to fit our specifications.
We were created in “God's” image, and we all want to play God with whatever we do. Pretty grandiose stuff for rock 'n' roll, I know. But whatever it is you do, I hope you think in the same terms.
The superlative at hand here is first, and it has to do with the very first tour (“Rock Naadam 2”) of a rock band made up of Chinese nationals in Mongolia. Rock Naadam 2 saw Banana Monkey, filmmaker Rob Wallace, and I tour Shanghai and Beijing with Mongolian post-punk band Mohanik. The tour also included a music and philanthropy tour of the country of Mongolia.
I'm not a pro with photography, but hopefully the following shows a glimpse of the epic story. We've left out the part where we strolled into a secret club past curfew with a Mongolian rock star but until then... enjoy.

Looks fun, man. Glad you made it this time. I guess if they'll let you play North Korea, why keep you out of Mongolia?
