All,
Work takes me over to Taiwan about once a quarter. Whilst it's incredibly difficult on the liver, I am starting to know Taipei a bit.
Whilst claiming air miles on the Cathay Pacific website, I spotted return flights from PuDong to Taipei for CNY 1000 all-in. That's madness, I think.
Vicious Circle are up for gigs and have offered local Taiwan bands as support. However, I thought I would throw it out to the Shanghaiese first. I'll discuss dates with Bistoo, amongst other things, this Saturday. Could be looking at early September- the Cathay deals are good up until the October holiday at the moment.
I think Chinese passport holders have a bit of a rigmarole obtaining visas, however I have not known any of my colleagues to be knocked-back.
So, if there is any interest in Taipei, please reply here. I know Mike from GLM knows Taiwan a little, but he's in Scotland at the moment.
Maybe bump into some of you tomorrow?
Regards
PA
