It may be one of Shanghai's more touristy places, but that doesn't mean that Tianzifang lacks a certain local charisma. Renovated from an Old Shanghai residential area, Tianzifang is a charming blend of old architecture and modern art, and though the stores are obviously targeted to foreigners, there really are some great artistic gems tucked away here just waiting to be discovered. There's also a New York Pizza joint and other restaurants to pass the time between shopping sessions, making Tianzifang perfect for a lazy Sunday afternoon getaway.
