Red Town is one of Shanghai’s most established art districts, where sculptures, photographs and paintings are part of the overall setting, taking the visitor on a visual journey à la Alice in red-brick-wonderland. Now home to the Shanghai Sculpture Space and Minsheng Art Museum (amongst several other art galleries, cafés and gift shops), Red Town’s buildings used to be part of a steel factory – another great conversion of the Shanghainese landscape for the pleasure of art lovers!
